The choirs of Lexington City Schools have enjoyed a long-standing tradition of excellence. They regularly appear in concerts twice per year that feature all the choirs in grades 6-12.  In addition to these concerts, they make regular appearances at football games, basketball games, churches, civic organizations, meetings, clinics, and festivals.  All of our students enjoy the opportunity to try out for the North Carolina Honors Chorus and to participate in the North Carolina All-State Chorus. We have placed over 80 students in the Honors Chorus and over 120 students in the All-State Chorus.  During the summer, many students travel with us to the North Carolina Summer Institute in Choral Arts. More than 15 students from Lexington usually attend this summer camp. They also participate in our Davidson County All-County Chorus each year where more than 200 students participate.   

At our High School, the Concert Choir and our Choral Ensemble have long enjoyed very high ratings at our state choral festivals. Both choirs also participate in a fall concert we call A Dessert Theater or Homecoming Show. Our Concert Choir and Choral Ensemble have performed in New York, Atlanta, Williamsburg, New Orleans, Toronto and Washington D.C. They have also performed three times at Walt Disney World, and were also the featured entertainment at the Biltmore House Christmas Celebration, the NC Governor's Mansion, The White House and on the steps of the Capitol in Washington D.C.
